Breakfast Picnic in Socorro

It was one of our lazy Sundays when all we had on our schedule was to go to the farmer's market. So instead of going there directly, Daddy drove a little more, and we a had our breakfast picnic. It was nothing fancy, just fried rice, fried eggs, and hotdog. However, as they say, we didn't come for the food, we came for the view! The site was overlooking Naujan Lake.

Movie Date on a Rainy Saturday

It was a rainy Saturday and we saw it as the perfect time to watch Fantastic 4, as promised to James and Adam. Before the movies, we had lugaw (congee) with tripe and tofu. For dessert, we had fun watching and learning how cotton candy (huge ones) were made. After the screening, it was time for noodles and pork buns, just the right combination that felt like warm cuddles on a cold day!

Nature Walk

We are privileged to be able to live among trees, rivers, lakes, rice fields, and wildlife, especially a wide range of bird species. Raising our kids surrounded by mountains, experiencing nature everyday, was just a dream and up to now, we can't still believe that our wildest dream finally came true.       Every afternoon, around 4:30, 4:45, we do nature walks, sometimes the boys take their bikes, whenever the weather permits. There were a couple of times when we still pushed through despite gray clouds and found ourselves walking under the rain. Those were the afternoons James and Adam claimed to be two of our best nature walks. Maybe because during those times, we get to feel rain drops dripping on our cheeks, smell the ground when the rain touched it, and it was just another way we get to experience what it's like living here, with our simple joys but with the pleasure of all these wonders of nature.           ...

First Trip to Puerto Galera

Tita Lis and Tita Nance' Visit

our first stop, Victoria's farmer's market, where we bought "kakanin" for breakfast and some fruits to take to the beach We also feasted on fresh salt water fish that Tita Lis' bought at the market in Pinamalayan. Someone found a couple of nice trees for climbing! Here's our most favorite picture from the trip!  The boys, without a doubt, enjoyed the waves on this warm Sunday!

Father's Day in Pinamalayan

A Simple Picnic

It was just a fun idea to take our lunch under the trees and spend some family time (as if we don't have enough!). Daddy cooked some pasta made special with our homegrown basil, packed it with some bowls and forks in a basket, got our mat in the attic and walked a few meters from our doorsteps.
