Unschooling James and Adam

Meeting another unschooling family for the first time! Finally, we got the chance, actually two chances, to spend time, play, eat, and chat endlessly with Patti and her kids, Maya and Ali. On Wednesday, we met them at McDonald's where all four kids slowly warmed-up to each other and then, as if something clicked and they were all playing their made up games. With playing, I mean, at the play structure at McDo! Our kids had a good chemistry, with similar interests, so we got invited to their home on Friday. I guess that's a good sign, right? Patti was very generous, cooking lunch (and dinner) and teaching me how to bake apple pies. I just hope we could open our home to them in the near future as well and return the favor!

Dads had to do an errand in Calapan, so we joined him on his trip to the city on this chilly Wednesday afternoon. We had lasagna and pizza at the newly opened Greenwich outlet, which is usually packed on weekends. We also took advantage of the Double-Double promo, which is two double-sized pizza for only P299. The experience was a combination of good timing and good deals! It's one of those Sundays when we do our monthly grocery shopping in the city. But before that, we indulged in this huge Grand Slam pizza at Shakey's Calapan.
